Rinseless shower supplies (or how to shower while living in a hurricane damaged area)

Summary

This post talks about two products you can use to stay clean if you are camping or temporarily without running water.

I am in Everglades City this week. It’s a tiny, 400 person fishing town that was hit by Hurricane Ian about a month ago. My parents got four feet of water in their house so I’m here to help with clean up. We have power and water, but the water heater didn’t make it so it’s cold showers for everyone. Thankfully there is an alternative for days (like today) where you lose power and water again for no reason.

For hair: The No-Rinse Shampoo Cap

There is more to this shower cap than meets the eye. If you have power, you microwave it for about 15 seconds so that it’s warm. Then you tuck all your hair inside, and shampoo! The shampoo is actually inside the cap. “Scrub” for 15 seconds and your hair is now clean—no rinsing required!

For bathing: Scrubzz No Rinse Bathing Wipes

I wish I had found these when I still had a work gym. Take out a sheet, run it under water to activate the soap, and then use it to bathe. When you’re done, towel dry off and that’s it! So easy to use, and the lavender scent isn’t too strong.

10/10 would recommend both products. They would be great for camping, a post-workout refresh, or even elder care.
